Afro-Asian- "A combination of the African, Anglo, Native American and Asian influences that form much of what is our contemporary popular music"

I try to combine my many influences growing up here in New York City to form one cohesive whole. I believe and know that much of our music has cross-fertilzed to a greater degree than most people realize. Take Reggae: The far-east sound. I believe that it is more than just African influence we hear but also the Asian influence through the Chinese who were involved in Reggae that created this earth-influencing sound that gave birth to the core elements of Rap and Electronic music, along with all the sounds those genres have influenced - which is just about everything except that music which seeks to preserve traditions in their original forms. In other words were all responsible.

This is the sound that makes all others disappear! True New York City grit from the heartland of the city. I can tell you that this sound will blooooow you away. It defies categorization, but for the title above, which means push, pull and shove but don't forget to show love as I show love for this city-my city, the one I grew up in, where I learned about the world and now sing its peculiar truth over a hard rock groove and defy you not to dance as you shake, think and move. A PREHISTORIC RODEO - "Post Punk Disco, New No-Wave Electro"

Who is Mesh? What is Mesh? Mesh is the sound of growing up in New York City beyond the strictures of convention. A graffiti artist since I could pick up a pen, I wrote graffiti on the trains of the city. The sound of my music is a combination of the things I have experienced in an electronic format. All done digitally, yet defiantly raw at times, I hope you enjoy this sound as it pumps through your speakers. It's meant to be danced to. Its predecessor is the post-punk new wave and no wave sound of the eighties. It's meant to make you move and think at the same time. I hope it especially sounds like something you've never heard before.

NO SOUND ONLY MESSAGES - "A New New-Wave Electro"

Myself, MESH, was born and raised in New York City, in the heart of the city. I hope this music beats with the sound of an amalgamation - of the mesh of all things I've experienced. Hopefully its low-fi nature adds even more character to the mix. I've been influenced by all that I've been submerged in. From Hip Hop to Punk Rock, Low-Fi, No-Fi, New Wave and No Wave. It's all in there. All done with the magic of computers, be it poisonous magic or good magic. A lifelong graffiti artist. I truly rocked the city's trains and streets. Everything in here is real and hopefully surprising and also tender at times. It may require multiple listenings in order to tune one's ear to the palette on display. Hopefully it will reap dividends for all who hear it. Thanks again for tuning in.

UNDER THE COVERS - "Guitar and Breakbeat-Oriented Indie Covers"

Cover songs make up the album Under The Covers. They fuse together the often frenetic and aggresive, sometimes mellow and sweet, energy of break-beat rumble with the beautiful lyrical songwriting of the pieces chosen. Overlaid with heavy bass and guitar, they're sure to impress and startle whether this be your usual genre of choice, or just indulgence. This contrast is essential to all that I create, combining two disparate elements to form a completely new creation where none before could be previously imagined. It's meant to shock, surprise and induce fits of pure pleasure. Enjoy.

PlaYER- "Contains the only real song about graffiti yet created!"

This is Mesh's last foray to date into rap music, and more specifically Dub-Hop, a self-created genre combining the irrepressible rhythms of vintage 70's dub reggae with modern surreal lyrics. Kicked with incomparably unique vocal phrasings, together the combination is just RAW! Two other tracks incorporate a Brazilian rhythm and an R & B groove respectively.

While originally intended as scratch vocals for the final productions, these takes proved to be the most energetic and immediate, combining Mesh's historical accomplishment in rap music (being an early rap artist on the seminal Profile records) with his abilities to elicit the surreal at will.
