Howard Gribble: "Dogpatch" was not really a gang but rather a neighborhood in North Torrance that took its name from the Al Capp comic strip "Lil' Abner". Their priorities are apparent here. "D.F.F.L." was a common refrain in 60s hippy area and meant "Dope Forever, Forever Loaded". "No hope without dope" expresses similar sentiments. | ||
